Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for coordinating clinical care, including direct and indirect patient care, and assisting the clinical supervisor and physicians in infection control, inventory, and equipment maintenance. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare daily exam rooms for patient care, including stocking necessary supplies.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and obtain urine specimens.
  • Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining logs and records for OSHA/MOSHA.
  • Adhere to sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
  • May welcome and greet patients and visitors in person or over the phone.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required and will be verified prior to employment.
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred (AZ ONLY).
  • Proficiency in triaging patients, phlebotomy, administering injections, obtaining vitals, and processing specimens.
