About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning, draping, and sterilizing equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical procedure, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of equipment and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique, operating room procedures, and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
  • Ability to rotate through sterile core area and assist with case cart preparation, restocking, and reordering supplies.
