Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Cardiovascular Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in our Pre/Post Unit. At Memorial Health University Medical Center, our nursing staff is vital to our mission of delivering compassionate healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cardiovascular RN, you will be responsible for the comprehensive nursing care of patients undergoing various cardiovascular procedures. Your role will include:
- Managing pre-operative and post-operative care for interventional radiology, electrophysiology, catheterization, and structural heart cases.
- Serving as the expert on invasive procedures, ensuring patients are prepared according to established protocols.
- Facilitating the efficient flow of patients through screening, preparation, and general nursing care.
- Implementing strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, including test results and examinations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred and must be obtained within six months of hire.
- 1-2 years of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
