Primary Care Physician

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical care and treatment services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
This is a professional medical role that requires a strong understanding of primary care and treatment principles, as well as the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the continuity of health care and medical treatments for individuals with developmental disabilities
- Guiding individuals and their treatment teams in formulating and implementing comprehensive individual care and treatment program plans
- Overseeing clinical operations and directing the work of other professionals and nonprofessional nursing care staff
Requirements:
- Graduation with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or osteopathy from a medical school approved or recognized by the Pennsylvania Medical Licensing Board or the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Licensing Board
- Completion of an approved U.S. residency training program in the allopathic medical specialties of family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, or certification in the osteopathic field of general practice
- Annual successful completion of 50 hours of continuing medical education approved by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association as appropriate
- Possession of a current license to practice medicine in Pennsylvania issued by the Pennsylvania Medical Licensing Board, or Osteopathic Medicine Licensing Board and possession of a current certificate to prescribe medication from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency
