Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at Chenega Corporation. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of technical task orders and providing technical guidance to subcontractors and trades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project.
  • Attend partnering meetings and quality control meetings.
  • Be on-site at all times during the performance of the contract until the work is completed and accepted.
  • Act as the company contact in the field, troubleshooting and solving issues with minimal supervision.
  • Read, interpret, and understand electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings.
  • Supervise subcontractors for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Equipment installation and testing.
  • Supervise subcontractors performing demolition of existing AVB-related Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Equipment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of seven (5) years' experience in construction with all of those years as a superintendent.
  • Demonstrated training in engineering and construction management.
  • Academic training in construction Health and Safety.
  • Training in construction quality control.
  • Certification for the "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" course is desired.
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of Active Vehicle Barrier Systems, Electric and Hydraulic.
  • OSHA 30 Training preferred.
  • Familiar with requirements of USACE EM and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient with Test Equipment (i.e. VOM/Milti-Meter, TDR, OTDR and advance wave form equipment).
  • Skill level III Hand Tools.
  • Network environment savvy.
  • CADD knowledge.
  • Must participate in all company described training programs as required.
  • Must understand complex scheduling, deliverables, milestones, and project cost control.
  • Safety/First Aid Training.
Work Environment

The employee will normally work in both a temperature-controlled office environment and outside with frequent exposure to the elements and construction environment and exposure to electronic office equipment.

During operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
