Mental Health Therapist

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide high-quality mental health services to inmates in a correctional facility. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, and be licensed to practice in the state of employment.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and Intake Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments of inmates' mental health needs, and make recommendations for treatment and care.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapy to inmates, including individual and group sessions, to address a range of mental health issues.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Staff: Work closely with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care for inmates, including medication management and crisis intervention.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of inmate interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
- Master's Degree: In Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure: Current licensure to practice in the state of employment.
- Experience: One or more years of experience in a mental health treatment program, preferably in a correctional or hospital setting.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This position requires working in a correctional facility, which may involve exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other hazardous materials. The employee is expected to work in accordance with all security rules and regulations to minimize the risk of danger and/or harm to themselves or other employees.
