The Office of the Attorney General is seeking a Paralegal/Investigator to join our team in the Affirmative Civil Enforcement section. This hybrid role will assist in investigating and litigating cases on behalf of the State of Kansas.
Job Summary
- Assist in investigating and litigating cases, including reviewing documents and interviewing witnesses.
- Provide administrative support, including calendaring and scheduling, drafting pleadings, and maintaining case materials.
- Collaborate with Assistant Attorneys General to prepare for trials and other legal proceedings.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or comparable certification, or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
- At least three years of work experience as an investigator, paralegal, or accountant/financial analyst.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Travel and Working Conditions
The primary work location for this position is at 120 SW 10th Street, Topeka, Kansas. Occasional in-state travel may be required.
