Job Summary
The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal/Investigator to join our Affirmative Civil Enforcement section. As a key member of our team, you will assist in investigating and litigating complex cases on behalf of the State of Kansas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support our cases
- Review and analyze documents, interview witnesses, and prepare case materials
- Assist in drafting pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery requests
- Provide support at trials, including document management and witness coordination
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, and maintain accurate records
Requirements
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least three years of work experience as an investigator, paralegal, or accountant/financial analyst
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with electronic case management systems
- Experience with accounting, financial investigations, or debt collection
Travel
This position requires occasional in-state travel, and a valid driver's license is required.
