Job Summary

The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal/Investigator to join our Affirmative Civil Enforcement section. As a key member of our team, you will assist in investigating and litigating complex cases on behalf of the State of Kansas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support our cases
  • Review and analyze documents, interview witnesses, and prepare case materials
  • Assist in drafting pleadings, subpoenas, and discovery requests
  • Provide support at trials, including document management and witness coordination
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence, and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least three years of work experience as an investigator, paralegal, or accountant/financial analyst
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with electronic case management systems
  • Experience with accounting, financial investigations, or debt collection

Travel

This position requires occasional in-state travel, and a valid driver's license is required.
