We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Summit BHC. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients, including assessing their physical and behavioral health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Supervise the care provided by licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other staff members on assigned units and shifts.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including nurses, therapists, program managers, and physicians, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Monitor patient acuity, census, and staffing needs, and make arrangements for coverage as needed.
- Participate in unit activities, such as therapy groups, family meetings, and staffing meetings, to promote a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Graduation from an approved or accredited school of nursing.
- One or more years of nursing experience in a clinical area of service, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric settings.
- Valid current RN license from the state or a compact state, where applicable.
- Certification in psychiatric nursing is preferred.
