Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to evaluate rehabilitation potential, identify specific needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and establish goals.
  • Set initial Short-Term Goals (STG) and Long-Term Goals (LTG).
  • Ensure proper and safe use of therapeutic equipment, maintain inspection and maintenance logs, and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Adhere to the medical regimen prescribed for each patient, being mindful of any necessary precautions (e.g., THR, TKR, Cardiac, Wound care).
  • Employ safe treatment techniques, including compensatory strategies for swallowing and communication challenges.
  • Select appropriate diagnostic tools to evaluate all facets of communication and/or swallowing abilities.
  • Prepare discharge summaries for each patient upon their final outpatient visit.
Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the relevant state.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation, or access to public transit.
