Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to evaluate rehabilitation potential, identify needs, create personalized treatment plans, and establish goals.
  • Set initial Short-Term Goals (STG) and Long-Term Goals (LTG).
  • Use equipment safely and correctly, maintain inspection and cleaning logs, and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Adhere to the medical regimen prescribed for each patient, being mindful of necessary precautions (e.g., THR, TKR, Cardiac, Wound).
  • Employ safe treatment techniques, including compensatory strategies for swallowing and communication.
  • Select appropriate diagnostic tools to evaluate all facets of communication and/or swallowing abilities.
  • Prepare discharge summaries for each patient during their final outpatient visit.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation, or access to public transit.
