Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including treasury management, cash flow projections, and lease administration. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP and experience with real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treasury and Cash Management: Oversee daily treasury functions, including cash flow monitoring, management, and forecasting.
  • Prepare cash flow projections to ensure liquidity and meet operational needs.
  • Investor Funding Requests: Prepare funding requests and distributions to investors as needed.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage capital calls and returns.
  • ACH/Wire Relationships: Draft and review standard reference requests for new ACH/wire relationships.
  • Ensure all ACH/wire payments comply with company policies and banking regulations.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Review AR aging reports regularly to assess the collectability of outstanding balances.
  • Recommend and implement write-offs or reserves based on the assessment.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) Management: Oversee accounts payable functions including issuing checks, setting up wire/ACH payments, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and assist with any vendor inquiries.
  • Lease Administration: Manage the lease administration process, ensuring proper accounting treatment per GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
  • Handle lease accounting for complex leases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory standards.
