Position Overview

We are offering a remarkable opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology Physician within a prestigious university-affiliated healthcare facility located in northern-central North Carolina. This role allows for a balanced practice with a focus on both hematology and oncology.

Work Environment

You will operate primarily in an outpatient clinic, with new patient consultations scheduled for 60 minutes and follow-up appointments lasting 30 minutes. While patients may occasionally require admission to a local hospital, the management of these cases will be handled by Hospitalists, allowing you to focus on your specialty.

Schedule and Call

This position features a Monday to Friday workweek, with limited on-call responsibilities, requiring only phone consultations on a 1:2 call rotation.

Patient Care

Daily patient load will consist of approximately 7-8 chemotherapy infusion patients, evenly split between hematology and oncology cases. You will perform no more than 10 chemotherapy infusions per day and will currently focus on breast and bone biopsies.
