Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC Refrigeration Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time role that includes a paid on-call rotation and compensation for travel time.

The HVAC Refrigeration Specialist will be responsible for conducting field service maintenance and emergency repairs on HVAC systems used in telecommunications and data centers. The equipment you will work on includes brands such as Liebert, Data Air, Marvair, Bard, Carrier, Trane, and glycol systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks
  • Respond promptly to emergency service requests
  • Support field personnel in various tasks as needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures
  • Provide accurate documentation and reporting that reflects field conditions
  • Utilize monitoring tools effectively to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Travel daily to various job sites

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in HVAC service and repair
  • Successful completion of a state refrigeration exam or equivalent experience in data centers
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
  • EPA Certification required
  • Ability to understand schematics and diagnose basic refrigeration and electronic control circuits

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, manipulate tools and equipment, and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements is mandatory.
