As an Electrical Foreman 1, you will play a critical role in supervising and coordinating the work of a crew of electricians, apprentices, and laborers on a job site. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all work installed is completed on time, on budget, and according to all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage mid-sized to large projects with a team of 15 or more persons.
  • Collaborate with senior management, supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Schedule projects in logical steps to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities related to construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Direct and supervise workers, including delegating responsibilities to foremen and electrical technicians, and mentoring electrical technicians II and III to prepare them for promotion to the next career level.
  • Monitor project budgets to ensure positive cash flow and maintain profitability.
  • Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
Requirements:
  • At least 7 years of experience working in the electrical industry, including 2 years serving as a project foreman.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Possess a Journeyman Electrician license, preferred.
  • Experience working with the Company's management systems, such as scheduling, job cost reports, estimating, safety documentation, and quality control.
  • Experience overseeing and approving monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
  • Effective planning and leadership skills to meet project objectives without significant labor spikes or overtime costs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Must have their own tools.
  • This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance with our policy.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
Abilities:
  • Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period.
  • Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possesses good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tells when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • Applies general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Combines pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Sees details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • LISTENS to and understands information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
