Heavy Equipment Technician

The primary responsibility of the Heavy Equipment Technician is to perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and other heavy equipment. This includes inspecting and troubleshooting issues, replacing worn parts, and performing preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes and fluid top-offs.
A high school degree or equivalent is required, along with valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug test/background check. Candidates should also be physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift, and lift up to 50 pounds or more. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management abilities, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Previous experience as a mechanic and knowledge of shop equipment are highly desirable.
