Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and providing high-quality testing services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare rooms and diagnostic/CT equipment for patient procedures
  • Perform testing and operate equipment according to prescribed safety standards
  • Process images and exercise professional judgment in the performance of diagnostic services
  • Maintain strict patient and staff confidentiality
  • Provide quality patient care, including preparation, scheduling, and communication of exam procedures
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper identification is recorded
  • Perform all necessary equipment checks prior to use and ensure patient and regulatory standards are adhered to
  • Participate in quality assurance, quality control, and radiation safety activities
  • Respond to contrast reactions as outlined in Policy and Procedure Manual
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-stocked room
  • Identify staff training issues and participate in Policy and procedures development
  • Rotate shifts and assignments as required and take stand-by call as assigned
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program
  • License, Certification, Registration
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • One (1) year experience in a hospital setting
