Position Summary:

The Quality Control Manager will oversee the successful execution of U.S. Government contract stipulations regarding quality control and assurance in design and construction processes, ensuring compliance with established quality and safety standards. Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly review contracts, design documents, specifications, and other relevant materials to ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
  • Develop and adhere to the Contractor's Quality Control Plan, ensuring timely submissions to the Government for approval.
  • Implement the Quality Control Program on-site, following specified quality protocols and conducting three-phase inspections.
  • Maintain meticulous quality control documentation and records, both electronically and physically, in accordance with security protocols mandated by the Government.
  • Continuously update and manage a set of 'Red-Lined As-built Drawings & Records' throughout the construction phase, culminating in the submission of Final As-Built Documentation post-project completion.
  • Coordinate and oversee material and equipment testing to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct and supervise inspection and testing activities to uphold high quality and technical integrity.
  • Collaborate with Clients, Government representatives, and the project management team on all quality-related matters.
  • Engage with subcontractors and partners to ensure quality control and assurance across all operations.
  • Establish, document, and uphold quality control standards and ongoing quality objectives.
  • Manage and evaluate submittals and maintain the submittal register.
  • Review materials, designs, coordination drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • May oversee a team of quality control inspectors and technicians.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager or company executives.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing construction quality control programs for similar projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Quality Control, or equivalent field experience.
  • Experience as a Quality Control Manager on high-value projects exceeding $25M.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • Ability to pass a public trust and security background investigation for site access.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software is essential.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Prior experience with U.S. Government projects is advantageous.
  • Completion of the USACE course 'Construction Quality Management for Contractors' or equivalent is preferred.
  • PMP or other project management/construction management certification is a plus.
