Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Epic Application Analyst to join our dynamic team at Memorial Hermann Health System.

This role will focus on implementing, optimizing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solutions that support Population Health Services Organization with a focus on Epic Healthy Planet and Roster Management Engine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translates user and department Epic system needs into technical solutions.
  • Performs project reviews and process walk-throughs incorporating technical, clinical, and business solutions that will enhance user productivity and department service levels.
  • Provides technical knowledge in the support of Epic as well as other software applications and operating systems.
  • Acts as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support, and information management standards within and outside of the Information Systems Department.
  • Develops, prioritizes, and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
Requirements
  • Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation or a combination of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations required.
  • Industry training and increasingly responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information System.
  • Previous Epic or other Health Information Systems experience required.
  • Experience in supporting complex problems.
  • Experience in assisting other Analysts.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies.
  • Good analytical skills and technical aptitude.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to query databases.
  • Automation scheduled jobs/tasks.
  • Reduce cost by automating and reduce manual human intervention.
  • Developing custom User interfaces to ease repetitive tasks.
  • Assisting other application teams in extracting out data from their systems to load for Analytics.
Education and Certifications
  • Associates degree, preferred.
  • Epic Certification required.
