Recreation Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Services Coordinator to assist the Recreation Director in the development, implementation, and supervision of recreation services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing recreation programs for patients, including activities such as arts and crafts, games, and outings.
- Contribute to the development of program philosophies and policies, as well as writing procedures, goals, and objectives for the program.
- Recruit and train recreation program volunteers, and may assume responsibility for volunteer program development.
- Assist in the coordination of special events and activities, such as holiday celebrations and theme days.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach to patient care and recreation services.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of the NAAP/NCCAP Modular I Course for Activity Professionals or Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the center, by the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals (ADC) or the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification (CTRS) preferred.
- One year of full-time experience in a social or recreational program within the last 3 years in a health care setting.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors.
