Broadcast Producer

We are seeking a skilled Broadcast Producer to assist with the planning and production of live and pre-recorded radio shows featuring news, music, talk, sports, traffic, and feature productions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop original ideas and concepts for radio shows, and collaborate with presenters and content providers to bring them to life.
- Research and gather information, materials, and guests for radio shows, and assist with scheduling and coordination.
- Provide direction and guidance to presenters, content providers, assistants, and other crew members to ensure high-quality production.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use and effective production.
- Obtain necessary permissions and licenses for recording and broadcasting on location, and for the use of music, sound effects, and audio archive material.
- Collaborate with presenters, performers, and other program contributors to ensure quality assurance and meet established production standards, rules, and regulations.
- Operate various broadcasting technologies, including soundboards and editing/production software.
- Schedule and monitor the radio stream during live recordings, and assist with time-keeping, saving show recordings, archiving show files, and post-production editing.
- Creative mindset with the ability to formulate and communicate original ideas.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor and adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
- Knowledge of the radio market, different station/program styles, and audience demographics.
- Experience using a variety of recording equipment and operating a radio studio.
- Ability to build rapport and draw information from people, and confidence and tenacity to pursue information and overcome obstacles.
- Stress tolerance with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, and to react quickly to changes.
- Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
- Full knowledge of the law, rules, and industry regulations around radio productions, and the ability to acquire necessary clearances and licenses.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as social media platforms.
