Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Director to join our team at Christ Church. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the accounting team in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or non-profit sector accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VBA
  • Knowledge of accounting software and systems, including Microsoft Dynamics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical analysis
  • Ability to supervise and mentor accounting staff
