Job Title: Director of Labor and Delivery Unit

Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Labor and Delivery Unit to lead our Labor and Delivery department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, administrative, and clinical management of the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the department's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in Labor and Delivery nursing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery nursing; at least 3 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies.
