Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at MJ Care Inc. as a School-Based Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to children with exceptional educational needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy programs to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to ensure that occupational therapy services are integrated into the educational program.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths and weaknesses, and develop individualized plans to address their needs.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students, including individual and group sessions, and consult with teachers and other school personnel to support students' learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, including progress reports, IEPs, and other documentation as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

The Occupational Therapist will work in a school setting, providing services to students with special educational needs. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
