Job Responsibilities:
As a Spotter, you will:
- Conduct thorough safety and mechanical inspections of yard trucks and trailers.
- Operate yard trucks to maneuver trailers, including backing up and making necessary connections.
- Position trailers in designated spots and ensure they are securely disconnected.
- Utilize forklifts to prepare cross-dock loads.
- Engage in spotting, docking, trailer stripping, and cross-docking freight.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to work non-traditional shifts and overtime as required.
- CDL A Certification.
- Hazmat and Doubles endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year experience driving tractor/trailer combinations.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations regarding equipment standards and inspections.
