Dietary Cook

The Dietary Cook is a vital member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Review menus and ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets per policy and prepare all snacks.
- Assist in preparing food for special events and activities, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Wear hair nets and nametags at all times and label any food that has been opened or leftovers food that is to be saved.
- Assist daily in cleaning schedule duties and maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner.
- Follow sanitation and safety techniques in operation and cleaning of all equipment and adhere to all sanitary regulations governing handling, preparation, and serving of food.
- Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, in-service training programs, etc, as directed and respond to emergency codes (fire, severe weather, etc.).
- Complete required education annually and understand and adhere to all Vulnerable Adult Abuse Prevention Policies.
