We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roadway Group Manager to join our team in Boston, MA. As a key member of our Transportation Engineering Group, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team of engineers, providing technical expertise, and delivering transportation and roadway engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the section's operating budget in support of the group or office operating budget and forecast updates.
- Manage, grow, and develop the discipline-specific engineering section, ensuring staff development, mentoring, and training needs are met.
- Support the implementation of the firm's strategic plan and HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA) process on project pursuits in the Section and office.
- Support the implementation of the firm's contracting (SCA) process through project delivery and contracting activities.
- Assist in marketing responsibilities, including client discovery, proposal generation, interviews, and win-to-work activities.
- Maintain client contacts to ensure client satisfaction.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain section staff.
- Manage assigned project management activities and perform technical discipline tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience, including 2 years of leadership experience.
- Significant breadth and depth of technical experience in transportation engineering.
- Proficiency delivering projects for MassDOT.
- Ability to advise and guide staff throughout the design stages.
- Technical guidance on complex or unusual engineering projects.
- 12 years of practical experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D.
