AECOM's Chelmsford, MA office is seeking a talented Technical Lead for the Track discipline with freight and transit clients including CSX, Norfolk Southern, Amtrak and regional freight carriers and transit agencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform civil design on a variety of freight/transit projects
- Provide guidance for public projects on freight railways
- Coordinate for stations and industry facility projects
- Develop conceptual designs for client presentations
- Prepare technical reports and analyses
- Oversee and manage work within the ROW for multiple projects
- Work with other track staff to manage projects
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering plus six years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- 10 years' experience on rail and transit projects
- Expertise with Bentley OpenRail and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of FRA, DOT, AREMA and local railroad/transit criteria
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to lead meetings related to track
- Ability to travel to meet with clients and attend site meetings
- Ability to be ROW safety trained and meet FRA criteria to be on active railroad sites
