Position Overview:
NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a Financial Accountant II. This role involves reporting to the Accounting Supervisor and primarily focuses on activities related to Regulatory Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Review and post journal entries concerning revenue, receivables, accruals, amortization, and prepaid expenses.
2. Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
3. Analyze monthly transactions for regulated entities and collaborate with various departments to clarify variances.
4. Generate Monthly and Quarterly reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
5. Review quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and FERC reports.
6. Assist in the year-end external audit by preparing rollforward schedules and providing necessary documentation.
7. Develop and update desktop procedures for assigned tasks.
8. Conduct Ad Hoc reporting as required.

Job Duties:
Employees in this position will assist in researching, analyzing, and reporting on issues impacting the organization, proposing potential solutions, and aiding in follow-up activities to ensure resolution.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports in a timely manner that comply with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the organization.
- Stay informed of and apply GAAP, SEC regulations, and relevant company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls.
- Prepare schedules and journal entries as necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
