We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Coating Specialist to join our team at HQ Aero Management Inc. in Richmond-Berea, KY.

About the Role

This is a full-time, contract position that requires 3 years of experience in automobile or aerospace painting.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in metal prep, prime and base paint aircraft via chemical application on aircraft skin.
  • They will also be able to mask aircraft and components for mechanical stripping of aluminum, and protect all surfaces where stripping is not required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Painting and applying finishing coats to aircraft in accordance with blueprints and customer specifications.
  • Setting up and maintaining work areas, and operating painting equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Inspecting paint jobs and materials, adjusting colors and fixing defects.

The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the correct procedures to follow and precautions to take when performing their work to prevent damage to equipment and/or material and injury to self and/or others.

Salary & Benefits

Our estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Ability to acid etch, Alodine, and apply epoxy primers.
  • Knowledge of basic measuring equipment and instruments, and personal computing literacy.
  • Effective communication skills, and ability to work well with co-workers and supervisory staff.
