Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers and other healthcare team members in the clinic by performing various back office and patient-related tasks.
  • Ensure smooth patient and workflow within the department.
  • Perform patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws.
  • Measure patient vital signs, manage rooming and patient flow, and assist with front office activities and scheduling tasks.
  • Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow and report test results as directed.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program.
  • Washington State Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) or Medical Assistant Interim (IC) credential required.
  • Knowledge of third-party payer requirements.
  • Strong aptitude for detail, ability to work independently, and excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use a PC.
