Job Title: Sr. Advisor, Clean Transportation

Fusco Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Advisor, Clean Transportation to join our client in leading the nation in the fight against global climate change and the transition to a clean-energy powered economy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Clean Transportation team's efforts to remove market barriers to Electric School Bus (ESB) adoption by collaborating with fleets, industry partners, electric utilities, state agencies, and other stakeholders to identify challenges, develop solutions, and inform best practices.
  • Participate in stakeholder discussions and present at conferences with school bus fleets, the school bus industry, school districts, and other stakeholders regarding NYSERDA's ESB efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with leading ESB market stakeholders, including industry participants, end users, trade organizations, utilities, and government entities, representing NYSERDA in collaborative initiatives with other NYS agencies and public and private entities.
  • Contribute to state policy development on topics critical to the State's ESB rollout.
  • Work with the Clean Transportation team to manage a broad range of projects led by outside contractors, focusing on market adoption of ESBs.
  • Advise team members on issues surrounding ESBs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience in transportation, electrification, or a related field, with a demonstrated record of success managing complex initiatives.
  • Subject matter expertise in transportation electrification, with a preference for a strong understanding of medium- or heavy-duty vehicle electrification and/or pupil transportation, and a passion for clean transportation and equity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing junior personnel, supervising contractors, and interacting with senior leadership in one's own organization and in other organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently and simultaneously manage and follow through on a broad portfolio of innovative initiatives, including setting workplans, delegating tasks, managing budgets, and overseeing internal and consultant work products.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite required; familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
  • Master's/Advanced degree with 8 years of relevant experience in transportation, electrification, or a related field, with a demonstrated record of success managing complex initiatives.
Compensation:
  • $76- $173k.
