Job Summary

Alloy Engineering CO is seeking a skilled Welding Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of the welding and press brake departments. This role requires strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on ensuring efficient production operations, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of welders and press brake operators to ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Monitor and enforce safety training and policies, and conduct regular safety audits to ensure compliance.
  • Plan and direct work to ensure efficient production operations, and review and post daily labor transactions.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members, and address and resolve employee concerns and conflicts.
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure quality and efficiency, and track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and safety.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding operations (GMAW and GTAW), with experience with SAW and or PAW a plus.
  • Experience with press brake, plate rolls, and forming machinery a plus.
  • Basic experience with ERP systems, and proficiency in advanced blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines, with excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Work Environment

The position requires working in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat, and varying temperatures. The standard shift is ten hours per day, with steel-toe boots and safety glasses required. Plant facilities do not have air conditioning.
