KGKC is on the lookout for a skilled and dedicated Visual Storyteller to enhance our Spanish-language newscast. This role is pivotal in capturing and producing high-quality visual content across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and organize both raw and edited video materials.
  • Conduct field shoots, including interviews and event coverage.
  • Review all footage for precision and compliance with station standards.
  • Identify necessary audio and visual enhancements to complete news stories.
  • Exhibit strong organizational capabilities, work autonomously, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • In a hybrid capacity, fulfill duties as a multimedia journalist, which includes reporting, shooting, writing, editing, and delivering news content for all platforms in a coherent manner.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, television production, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in a newsroom environment.
  • Proficient verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
  • Familiarity with video editing tools and equipment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, and respond to urgent news situations as needed.
  • Must possess valid work authorization in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
