Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Personnel Security Specialist V to join our team at Amentum. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough security assessments and investigations to ensure the integrity of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct exhaustive security checks and investigations to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement effective security protocols and procedures to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security regulations and policies.
  • Analyze and evaluate complex security data to make informed recommendations for security clearance and access authorization.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on security-related matters to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends to ensure our organization remains secure and compliant.

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance.
  • Technical training/certification as an investigator and/or adjudicator.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in Federal Law Enforcement (LE) or 10+ years of experience working in the personnel security field.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of indices systems, record check systems, and file review processes.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to extensively analyze various types of materials.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in any field of study.
  • Detailed knowledge of the FBI Security Program and its procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of the processes and procedures involved with conducting sensitive security matter investigations.
  • Thorough understanding of the personnel security analysis interrelationships between FBI components, DOJ, IC, and other agencies.
