Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate with 3 to 5 years of labor and employment defense experience to join our team at Akerman LLP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a litigation caseload, including drafting responsive pleadings, position statements, discovery requests/responses, and discovery/dispositive motions.
  • Provide excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills to support employment litigation and counseling efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies for managing complex employment cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing laws and regulations in the labor and employment field.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Membership in the New York State Bar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
