Job Summary:

The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is seeking a skilled Clinical Technician I to join our team in the Digestive Health Procedure Suite. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialized medical equipment, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares areas and materials for patient testing, utilizing knowledge of medical equipment and its proper usage.
• Performs routine technical measurements using specialized medical equipment to determine changing patient conditions.
• Records and maintains information obtained during equipment tests, facilitating data interpretation and meeting established guidelines/protocols.
• Distributes information to relevant areas and personnel, ensuring seamless communication.
• Performs routine maintenance of equipment to ensure operational condition at all times.
• Assists in training new personnel to operate and maintain equipment, promoting a culture of excellence.
• Assembles emergency trays and accessory equipment, prioritizing patient safety.
• Escorts patients to examination rooms, providing a comforting and supportive environment.
• Assists higher-level staff in performance of their duties, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork.

• One year of healthcare experience involving direct patient care.
