Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Health Images in Castle Rock. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. You will work closely with radiologists to obtain images at a satisfactory level with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanations of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  • Review patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Perform ultrasound scans and print images while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes at any time.
  • Assist radiologists on specialized exams.
  • Transfer images to other locations as needed.
  • Coordinate scan protocols with radiologists.
  • Maintain and regularly inspect equipment and immediately report any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
  • Interface with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
Requirements:
  • Two plus years' experience in Ultrasound- preferred
  • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver, and a team player
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
  • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to continuously 'exceed' company and customer expectations
  • Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Education/Certifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Sonography program
  • Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or ARRT (VS) registry – preferred
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
