Recovery Coach, 24 Hrs Weekly, 2nd Shift, Retreat Residential Unit

About the Role:
Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey, providing hope, encouragement, and reassurance to those served within our program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use your personal recovery experience to offer hope and encouragement to individuals in our program.
- Participate in clinical and staff meetings as assigned.
- Assist individuals in becoming active participants in their treatment and encourage self-advocacy.
- Document interactions in the electronic medical record and coordinate with other treatment team members as necessary.
- Provide services aimed at promoting independence, community inclusion, and productivity in individual and/or group settings.
Requirements:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED, with 6 months post-high school education in behavioral sciences preferred.
- Life experience that allows individuals to identify themselves as a peer and/or coach.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal format to meet position responsibilities.
- Current certification as a Certified Peer Support Specialist and/or Recovery Coach or ability to obtain Michigan Peer Support Specialist Certification once hired may be required.
