Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian in training to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work directly with a qualified dietitian to provide nutritional services for our in-center and home patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutritional services to patients under the direct supervision of a qualified dietitian.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, facility staff, and physicians.
  • Calculate diet prescriptions according to standards of practice and evaluate patient knowledge of diet and kidney disease.
  • Complete Nutrition History forms with patients and provide patient-specific education on nutritional status, adequacy measures, and results.
  • Review nutrition-related lab results and communicate with the interdisciplinary team as appropriate.
  • Monitor adherence and response to nutrition therapy and address issues impacting patient ability to achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on management and recommendations for mineral metabolism, renal bone disease, anemia, and iron status.
  • Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement and Plan of Care meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or directly related field, Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Dietitian as per Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Current State licensure if applicable.
  • Less than 1 year's clinical experience.
