- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Document and Record Keeping: Accurately document all repair orders, maintenance records, and parts used.
- Provide Roadside Assistance: Respond to roadside calls and perform repairs as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels and recordkeeping of parts and supplies.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless operations.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic.
- Technical Skills: Valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification preferred; diagnostic and troubleshooting competency; ability to read and understand technical manuals.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
