The Jefferson Hotel in Washington D.C. is a renowned luxury hotel seeking an experienced Luxury Hotel Security Specialist to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in security operations, with previous experience working in a similar role preferably in a high-end hotel setting. Additionally, they must be able to obtain a license as a Special Police Officer. This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to walk stairs, climb ladders, and conduct security patrols, as well as lift, bend, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily physical hazard/safety inspections to identify potential risks and take corrective action to mitigate them.
  • Monitor hotel surveillance cameras and alarm systems to ensure optimal security.
  • Respond to all accidents, contacting EMS or administering First Aid/CPR as required.
  • Gather information to complete reports while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Defuse disturbances in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Provide additional assistance in areas outside of traditional security roll to include Front Office Operations and Engineering.
