We are seeking an Analytical Scientist to become a vital part of our expanding Leveraged Analytical team. This role will be pivotal in supporting collaborative research initiatives and essential product/process investigations.

The successful candidate will engage in a variety of scientific endeavors across multiple business sectors. There is an expectation to possess or develop expertise in sample preparation for trace residual analysis, GC-MS operation and maintenance, and laboratory safety protocols. The ideal candidate will quickly evolve into a technical resource in their specialized areas and contribute significantly to the organization.

Our state-of-the-art facility, completed recently, houses a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and technicians working in advanced laboratories dedicated to research and development, technical service, and manufacturing support. We are a chemistry-driven organization that provides essential materials to tackle the most pressing challenges. Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in experimental design and execution while proposing alternative methodologies.
  • Analyze, review, and interpret experimental data, optimizing methodologies as needed.
  • Independently adapt new techniques to ongoing projects.
  • Safely operate and maintain laboratory instruments.
  • Produce analytical reports to fulfill R&D requirements and product registration standards.
  • Communicate findings effectively to the R&D community.
  • Collaborate independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Formulate work plans and manage daily workflows effectively.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Chemistry or closely related fields.
  • Experience with general laboratory techniques, including analytical sample preparation.
  • Proficiency in chromatographic separations, including data analysis and interpretation.
  • Familiarity with chromatographic sample preparation technologies.
  • Experience with GC-MS instrumentation or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to meet tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe operational practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced GC-MS data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with tandem mass spectrometry.
  • Knowledge of specialty chemical production processes.
  • Understanding of polymeric materials and polymer analysis.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,040.00

Annual Bonus Target: 6%
