Pastry Cook

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our Culinary team at The Seabird Resort in Oceanside, CA. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastry products and assisting higher-level bakers in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all pastry products according to established standards and recipes.
• Assist higher-level bakers with tasks such as baking, decorating, and plating.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
• Participate in menu planning and development, suggesting new pastry ideas and recipes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a pastry cook in a casual or fine dining restaurant.
• Ability to work single station in the kitchen.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards.
• Availability to work AM and PM shifts.
• Food Handlers certification.
