Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and engaging with customers, while informing them of products and services.
  • Ensure store opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist the store during periods of high volume and provide support for new employees.
  • Develop knowledge of in-house products to provide customers with personalized recommendations.
  • Conduct inventory management tasks, including restocking merchandise, conducting inventory counts, and identifying discrepancies.
  • Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including opening and closing tills, counting cash, and preparing deposits.
  • Operate scanners, cash registers, and other electronics.
  • Adhere to proper age verification policies.
  • Verify prices and quantities are accurate and provide customers with receipts.
  • Process refunds and exchanges.
  • Monitor the sales floor to prevent theft and minimize loss, including conducting bag checks and ensuring adherence to security procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to standards on the sales floor, stock room, lockers, and bathrooms.
  • Train new employees on store procedures, product knowledge, and customer service standards.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including peak hours of operation and availability to support stores on nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in cash handling.
  • Team-oriented mentality.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Compensation:

  • Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing, with pay varying depending on location.
  • Upland CA: USD $16.75 per hour.
  • Starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
