About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Director to join our Creative Studio at Allbirds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the artistic output from concept to completion, developing concepts into creative solutions, and ensuring objectives are met across key brand channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and develop high-impact campaigns and visuals for the brand
  • Support global and local teams in asset and content creation
  • Design and art direct high-impact assets and content for product launches, including product photography, digital assets, and video content
  • Collaborate with strategy and channel leads to understand channel best practices and deliver creative that meets business goals and satisfies the brand approach
  • Partner closely with other disciplines within the Creative team and key stakeholders to ensure cross-functional integration and strategic implementation of the Allbirds brand
  • Set an example of creative excellence that inspires and guides a team of creatives to reach the highest brand standards
  • Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions, design and development of creative materials
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role for a multi-channel brand or retailer, specializing in fashion, with a proven track record of high-quality design and content creation
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a passion and understanding of apparel and the ability to execute vision
  • Demonstrated creative expertise in a broad array of areas, including multi-channel campaigns, retail environment, packaging, and web design
  • Understanding of the process from concept to execution, including storyboard, location, casting, styling, photography, and film
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a diverse creative team, develop designers from a technical perspective, and manage third-party partners, agencies, and freelancers
  • Highly organized with good project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities with limited oversight, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, and proficient with Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Adobe Suite
