Nuclear Medicine Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your tasks will include preparing and administering radioactive isotopes, positioning patients, and recording dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes and record dosages for patients in accordance with physicians' orders
- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film
- Position patients and adjust immobilization devices
- Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns
- Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH)
- Assist with transporting patients
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification
- Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
