Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Cummins is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Columbus, IN, US. As a key member of our Components Business Segment, you will be responsible for supervising the daily activities of a production unit or teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of industrial automation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of technicians responsible for maintaining industrial automation equipment.
  • Lead, organize, schedule, and maintain a steady work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and achieve production targets.
  • Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance program to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Support asset management by working with new equipment builds and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members to help them achieve their career goals and meet organizational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation equipment, electrical prints, and pneumatic prints.
  • Ability to read and navigate electrical prints, create drawings for small projects, and work with vendors and contractors.
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance programs and asset management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
