Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Antepartum Unit at Wellstar Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to expectant mothers and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care
    • Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to deliver individualized care to patients.
    • Use evidence-based practice and critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams
    • Work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve shared goals.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and case reviews to ensure seamless communication and care delivery.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans
    • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans that address physical, emotional, and social needs.
    • Implement care plans and evaluate their effectiveness in achieving desired patient outcomes.
  • Provide Education and Support
    • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
    • Use effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients and families.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care.
    • Use data and evidence to inform practice and drive quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Associate's degree in nursing or graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of direct patient care experience.
  • Licensure and Certification
    • Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia or multi-state compact licensure.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership Experience
    • Experience in a leadership or charge nurse role.
  • Education and Training
    • Completion of a nurse residency program or equivalent experience.
