The role of the Billet Crane Operator is crucial for the effective management of crane operations within the facility. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of crane functionalities, ensuring that equipment is utilized efficiently to achieve the established quality and productivity standards set forth in our operational guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure accurate identification of slabs.
- Organize and manage scheduled campaigns for the Hot Rolling Mill.
- Perform various crane operations as required.
Additional Duties:
As needed, the following tasks will be performed:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
- Conduct assigned housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
- Assist the melt shop with crop bucket operations.
- Load test weight slabs onto the weigh table for verification purposes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong teamwork capabilities, effective communication skills, proficient time management, and basic computer literacy.
